South of France

So next up we headed to the South of France where stayed near Antibes for a few days and basically plonked ourselves down on the nearest beach and tried not to scare the locals with our very white bodies!

A reminder of how the others live!
Valbonne
Mougin
Loads of beach restaurants... and we mad a good effort of sampling them all!
I got pretty nervous when 30 minutes before boarding we were still sitting on the beach but amazingly I made my flight.

Cinque Terre

The Cinque Terre trail has been on my 'to do' list for some time so when we had a week off and no real plans, we headed down south to Italy.  The trail is about 20km long and links 5 tiny villages which are basically inaccessible by car and thus are beautifully preserved.

We started our hike from Monterosso
and in the beginning we were both rather refreshed.... the temperature was perfect for us, 20'c and overcast.  But it didnt take long before we were both pretty exhausted as the hike between 3 of the villages was like a master stair class.  Well worth it though...
Chillaxed to the max
Vernazza
Corniglia

aaahhh... finally...

... summer arrived... so no further reason needed for a night on the town with Denise and Sarah (ECB friends)
